spring

Ok, I lied about not wanting much for spring. I've complied a few special things.

designing on a dime...with a belt and some bad fabric. yum.

A friend requested that I post a picture of the purse I made for OTS 112 Comm Design class, well here it is.

I'm aware the fabric looks like it came off a bed. I know the belt should be sent back to the sixties, but together with the weird yellow inner fabric I find it very Americana and charming, and I got a A. That's all that counts.

public speaking

I'm giving a speech on "how to shop at a second hand or vintage store."
Let's just put it simply.
I'm excited. While shopping google images for pictures I found this blogger. liebemarlene.blogspot.com
She is very inspirational. And She has my dream job. She has taken her fan base from blogs, and created a business. She owns a online vintage resale store through ebay, and has been featured in countless fashion magazines for her work. Lucky lucky girl.

Its been awhile

It has been too long hasn't it. I'm a terrible blogger aren't I?
I supposed I should update.
I finally got my perfect boots.

I got my new sewing machine. Its not pink, but its lovely and I wish I had room for it hear at school.
I recently realized that I would like to start investing in nicely made, classic and more tailored clothing. Its an idea which unfortunately is hard to realize when there is little cash in my pocket. But I figure buy one good expensive pair of jeans, wear them all the time, look fabulous and feel amazing in them. As apposed to several cheap low rise stretchy jeans which sag, fall, and are not good quality pieces. Thus my OU jeans which I wear practically everyday (don't tell). They are beautiful and look flawless tucked in my new boots.

As for the wish list... its not very long. I'd like to re-dye my black jeans. They are very faded, and when trying to do a suave all black outfit, it is best when your blacks are crisp and the same color.
I really want a pin-up 1950's style swimsuit. Not only is the heart shaped bodice style extremely flattering, but its a one piece. I've been searching my whole awkward body-shaped young life for CUTE one pieces! Now they are very much in style which is a sign that I must have one!
