stress in dress
I can't believe that the fashion show I'm helping design for is next week. As a freshman I defiantly took a huge amount of responsibility for my first term. I hope everything starts to come into place for the show. I hope that my time, dedication and money will not go unnoticed. I've completed, fitted and casted 12 outfits. I've got two more that I'm working on over fall break. I'll post some pictures in a little bit. I'm excited for my final outfit. I just need a white scarf to complete the aviator look.

killer parisian
Do you ever wake up and know exactly what you're going to wear?
Hardly ever right?
Well the other day I woke up and immediately knew I wanted to wear a full black outfit with bright pops of color. Luckily I purchased the fabulous blue beret and awesome Cartier vintage inspired scarf from Forever21 the day before. I particularly love the two colors (bright blue and orange) together...possibly because those were my school colors? Dreaming up the outfit made me feel like a rocker Parisian all day, and that is my favorite feeling.

every girl wants a pony, and I want the look
Hopefully no one has really noticed but I've worn my new boots every day this week.
For some reason I feel like no outfit is complete with out them. Maybe its the subconscious thought that I always wanted a horse, and now with my new riding style boots I'm one step closer? I only need that awesome hat and some tan riding pants and I'm ready to practice my jumps.
Also another inspiration for my more "Connecticut elite" style this week was the movie "The Clique". The movie itself was an entertaining rip off of mean girls with amateur acting, but the fashion presented was as the movie put it, "Glamlicious". Above is an equestrian scene from the movie, below are some other favorite outfits from the movie.
A monotone gray outfit with lace details, argile socks, pearls, a broach and gloves? Its a lot but, J'adore. Speaking in french...(ha, that was a play on speaking of french.....ha ha... O_0) If the picture below lost the ugly purse it would be a fabulous Parisian classic.
The picture above takes accessorising to another level. Remember Coco's rule "take one thing off before leaving." I love the outfit, I'd loose the hat and Patten leather purse. By the way that scarf is love.
With all the fashion around her, it must have sucked for the actress who played Claire. (Below)
Did I mention you can watch the movie for free at watch-movies.net
(Don't tell anyone I told you.)

I've worked at Old Navy for nearly 3 years. Gap Inc. is one of my favorite companies, and I'd love to work for corporate someday. Although most of the styles Old Navy comes out with are not exactly my style, I always find great separates and basics that I'm able to make my own. Above I complied a minimalistic outfit, with a simple color plan and a classic look. The outfit is actually something I am going to wear. When I worked tonight I bought those boots and a white shirt. I'll most likely pair it with a bright scarf and a plain colored cardigan. Don't judge Old Navy before taking a closer look.

fashion colonized
Who knew I could be so inspired by historical Jamestown?
Unfortunately this is the best picture I got of my new hat. It's a colonial style cap I got from the gift shop. I bought it mainly to use in my military themed fashion show. Then we trekked through the campus of William and Mary and I discovered true Ivy league style.

This the first sketch I did awhile ago in my technical illustration class, and another for my fashion military inspired show.

Barrow Gang
I'm so inspired by Bonnie Parker currently. Her whole bad-ass yet classy persona. The 30's style shown in the classic movie Bonnie & Clyde is epic. I really am craving a yellow sweater like the one below. Possible Halloween Costume? Now...I only need to find a Clyde.
